Hotel Sole - San Siro (Lombardy)

The hotel is conveniently located near a restaurant with delicious food. Menaggio, with its fantastic man-made beach on the Lake, is easily accessible from the hotel. - the room was bright, clean, and included amenities like a bathroom and WiFi.

hotel newly updated rooms, quite large room and modern bathroom. very nice view of lake even from less expensive side room with no balcony could see to Bellagio. restaurant very luxurious and friendly with great food at very good prices for dinner. locals were eating there also. good breakfast with lots of choices. friendly staff and free wifi in room.

several km north of Mennagio and action. need car for access, keep going on road north of San Siro to Santa Maria and it is right on main road. easy to locate if you go far enough north from Mennagio.

Hotel sole was renevated lately so the hotel is very new. The inside resteraunt is very good and the staff are very polite. The hotel is located 10 minutes from the como ferry and to some roooms you have lake view.

1. The room was poorly designed acosticly so we heard every noise from the hotel in our room( the next door neighbors flushing, foot steps, talking, stairways walkig, cars...) . It was impossible to sleep over there and that's why we also left the hotel 1 day earlier. This was the main problem - maybe it was problem with only our room but I doubt it.

The staff pays attention to detail, ensuring a comfortable stay. The location in the village of Rezzonico, right across the highway from the lake, is perfect for exploring the western side of Lake Como. The rooms with a balcony, some offering a view of the lake, are a bonus.

All was fine, nothing to complain about.

The staff were all very helpful and kind and nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel was very clean and the food was very good. I thoroughly recommend it for a holiday in gorgeous surroundings.

We had room with a lake view, the view was excellent however it meant the room also overlooked the busy road passing in front of the hotel which meant the noise level in the room was higher than one would wish. Particularly if you opened the windows rather than use the air conditioning. The sight-lines from the hotel entrance were poor meaning one had to take extra care when leaving the hotel in a car.

This hotel offers great value for money, with affordable prices and attention to detail. The location is perfect, right across the highway from the beautiful Lake Como. The staff are friendly and accommodating, going out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The rooms with a view of the lake are lovely, with nice bathrooms and a lovely view.

All was perfect, couldn't ask for anything more.

After a long days journey we arrived at the hotel and were greeted by the daughter of the owner who spoke very good english. After a refreshing drink and a snack we were shown to our room, which even though was an economy room had a balcony with a view over the lake. The room was nicely decorated, clean and spacious enough for us both. The highlight of this hotel is the restaurant, the quality and price of the food is top notch, and its reputation is well known locally. The restaurant was full for both the nights we stayed there, but we had no trouble getting a table. The hotel is conveniently located close to small beaches and towns. All in all were were very happy with our experience at Hotel Sole Highly recommended

We found the staff at this family run hotel very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was very good and the room very clean and comfortable. It was nice to be able to relax in the evening in the restaurant without having to go out in search of food elsewhere. Lake Como and a little stony beach was so accessible through the underpass from the corner of the hotel carpark, a quiet spot on which to sit and read or admire the view on a good day. Ease of parking in the hotel grounds was also a great bonus. A couple of scenic walks can be done directly from the hotel without getting into the car at all, following route descriptions from Menaggio tourist office.

The hotel is situated very near to a tunnel and the main road along the lake so there is a little traffic noise. We were there six nights however and very soon got used to it.
